Owner/Artist/Piercer
Dan has just celebrated 34 years in the tattoo industry! He does every type of tattooing imaginable. Traditional, Tribal, Portraits, Traditional Japanese, Fine Line Black & Grey, Old School, New School, Cover ups, you name it. He has also been doing professional body piercing for over
17 years. Dan also builds one of a kind custom tattoo machines and
footswitches that are for sale to professional tattoo artists only. He has considerable experience in graphic design and has worked in the commercial arts field for many years. Dan was also very active in getting the state of Michigan to pass the now
enacted Department of Health Regulations regarding Body Art Establishments. Dan is licensed by the Oakland County Department of Health to practice body art in the state of Michigan. He is also certified in Blood Borne Pathogens. Dan also buys/sells/trades/collects Blues Memorabilia.
He is the president of the Detroit Stevie Ray Vaughan
Fanclub.
He is a member of the Detroit Blues Society, & plays guitar frequently with
a number of local blues bands, as well as his own band the DC Dawgs. Rest assured that your tattooing or body piercing experience will be a safe and pleasurable one.
Mike Hendrix
Artist
Mike has just completed an intense apprenticeship under Dan Collins and is now
coloring the world! He worked in the graphic arts field for 17 years. He has a
Bachelors Degree from Kendall College of Art & Design. Mike is licensed by
the Department of Health, and is Blood Borne Pathogens Certified. He's also the
drummer for the DC Dawgs. He's a welcome addition
to our crew at Bluz!

Resident "Traveling Gypsy" Guest Artist
Hero has been tattooing for
over 16 years. His specialty is Traditional & Neo-Traditional Old
School tattooing and he is one of the industries leaders in this style.
Hailing from Indianapolis he travels the country working conventions and
doing guest appearances at renowned tattoo studios from coast to
coast. He has original commercial flash (tattoo design sheets) available
through snakeface.com and has gallery art exhibits showcasing
his work. He is also one of the industries top tattoo machine builders.
Hero is licensed by the Department of Health, and is Blood Borne Pathogens Certified.

Lori Collins
Piercer
Lori completed an intensive apprenticeship at Bluz Tattooz under master piercer
& husband Dan Collins. She has been our fulltime piercer for almost 2
years now, and has a great bedside manner. Lori is Blood Borne Pathogens
Certified, and Licensed by the Health Department.
Alisha Braun
Dermagraphic Sterilization Technician
Alisha's in charge of
keeping the shop running smoothly: Receptionist, Sterilization Tech, Supply
Orders, and any other task that needs to be done in order to keep us tattooing and piercing
efficiently. Alisha is Bloode Borne Pathogens Certifed.
